CRIS Staff Spotlight | Tamara Williams

Tamara Williams is a Service Coordinator on CRIS’ Early Intervention Help Me Grow team.

Originally from West Virginia, Tamara Williams’s career has always centered around supporting children and helping them thrive. She attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where she earned degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. After graduation, she spent 18 years as a public school teacher, primarily working with kindergarten students. She credits her years in the classroom with giving her a deep understanding of the many ways children learn, communicate, and process information.

After leaving public education, Tamara transitioned into the foster care field as a Child Placement Coordinator. In that role, she gained valuable insight into the foster care system while helping children find safe and supportive housing. After relocating to Ohio in 2024, she continued following her passion for supporting children and families, first working as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator with the YMCA and now joining the CRIS team in the same role.

Now at CRIS, she is excited to build new connections with colleagues, families, and community partners. She believes strongly in the mission of CRIS and looks forward to bringing her years of experience in education, foster care, and Early Intervention together to better support the families we serve.
