Donating to CRIS
Donating to CRIS
Due to an Executive Order suspending the United States’ refugee resettlement program, at this time we are not accepting Welcome Kit items (household goods donations, furniture, or coats) like we have in the past. CRIS also does not have capacity to accept any used clothes or linens (except heavy winter coats). To provide direct support to CRIS and those we serve during this difficult time, please consider the following ways to give:
Financial Donations
Financial donations made to CRIS are stewarded wisely and may be used to:
Provide emergency rental assistance
Ensure food security
Maintain fair wages for CRIS staff
Support building operations and maintenance
CRIS Backpack Drive
Through August 15th of 2025, CRIS is hosting a backpack and school supply drive for New American students in our youth mentorship program Community Connectors.
Fill a Backpack - To outfit a student with a complete set of school supplies, simply purchase all of the items from a list below, put them in a new backpack, and drop it off at the CRIS Office (4645 Executive Drive) during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM).
Donate bulk supplies - To donate bulk school supply items to supplement donations and student needs, simply order from our Amazon Wish List.
Grocery Grams
Grocery Grams are grocery gift cards donated to refugee families facing acute food insecurity. Digital gift cards can be purchased online and sent directly to CRIS’s Engagement Team at food@cris-ohio.org, or physical gift cards can be mailed or dropped off at our office (4645 Executive Drive).
Your donation provides immediate relief, with $100 typically covering a week’s worth of basic pantry items for one family of four.
