This panel discussion was held on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The conversation centered on the Netflix docuseries Immigration Nation with panelists Shaul Schwarz, Christina Clusiau, Deborah Jane Baliraine, and Angie Plummer, moderated by WOSU’s Ann Fisher.

 

The Panelists:

  • Shaul Schwarz and Christina Clusiau are the creators of Netflix’s Immigration Nation, and have won major awards for prior documentaries.

  • Deborah Jane Baliraine was resettled to Columbus by CRIS in 2016. Her journey to reunite with her four children is documented in the 5th episode of Immigration Nation.

  • Angie Plummer is the Executive Director of Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS).

  • Ann Fisher hosts All Sides with Ann Fisher weekday mornings on 89.7 WOSU.
