THANK YOU to all who have donated Welcome Kit items over the last weeks and months.  Through your generosity, we are stocked on most items! As we now are continuing to resettle refugees, there are certain in-kind needs that we have.  Please call us before donating to determine if your donation fits our specific needs.  Please call 614-987-1642 for questions.
Moving forward, we are in critical need of funding to sustain our program services and to continue serving refugees and immigrants. We still have work to do to care for refugees who are already here, and our infrastructure can only remain in place to the extent that we have funding. Please consider making a financial contribution to CRIS.

Financial Contributions

Making a financial contribution to CRIS is a direct way to support our program services such as Refugee Health & Wellness, English as a Second Language classes, Employment Services, Resettlement (housing, airport welcome, school enrollment, etc), Senior Services and other programs that are critical to the mission of our organization.

Please consider making a donation to CRIS.

In-Kind Donations

Thank you for the ongoing support in the form of in-kind donations! If you are interested in donating household items, please call us at 614-987-1642 before doing so in order to confirm our needs as well as the availability of our very limited storage space before moving forward.

Please see our list of Welcome Kit items below for accepted donations.

Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Donations can be new or gently used, but must be in clean, working condition. Due to space limitations and safety liability, we cannot accept large furniture items or car seats.

Please donate furniture items to the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio (FBCO). This is where we take each new arrival to furnish their homes.

We cannot accept clothing items except for winter coats, hats, scarves, and boots. We suggest donating clothing to United Methodist Free Stores or Charity Newsies, both of which we often utilize to get clothing to our clients.

Welcome Kit Items

A Welcome Kit is a collection of household items refugee families are required to purchase upon arrival to the U.S. By providing a Welcome Kit, you allow a family to have their initial needs met upon arrival and relieve the financial burden of purchasing a Welcome Kit. This allows them to use their money on other necessities such as rent and utilities. Individuals and groups are invited to donate a complete Welcome Kit.
