Impact of Refugees In Central Ohio: 2015 Report

Refugees bring innumerable benefits to the communities into which they settle; this includes economic benefits. In 2015, Columbus’s three refugee resettlement agencies–CRIS, World Relief, and US Together–set out to quantify these economic benefits that refugees bring to the Central Ohio region. Together with the Community Relations Commission, The City of Columbus, The Ohio Small Business Center at Columbus State Community College, and the HIAS/TLC Partnership, the three refugee resettlement agencies and Community Research Partners produced the following report detailing the ways in which refugees contribute to the economy of Central Ohio.
